Like most parents of children with autism, I have been reading about the family in California who is being sued by several families in their neighborhood. The lawsuit contends that their child is a public nuisance because of his behaviors that his parents failed to fix.

Children Exposed to More Brain-Harming Chemicals Than Ever Before

A new report finds the number of chemicals contributing to brain disorders in children has doubled since 2006. In recent years, the prevalence of developmental disorders such as autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and dyslexia have soared. While greater awareness and more sophisticated diagnoses are partly responsible for the rise, researchers say the changing environment in which youngsters grow up may also be playing a role.

The War On Bacteria -- Who Are We Really Harming?

In medicine told us bacteria are pathogenic, create health problems and must be eradicated. For decades, this idea has driven us as a society to rely on prescription drug use in a way that is excessive and downright harmful. The notion that "we" must destroy "them" has underscored our choices fueling fears that in the end have left us with an ocean of health conditions all linked to the destruction of the gut microbiome.
