About our presenter:
Laurette Janak is a medical researcher and mother of a child with autism, Down syndrome and leukemia. She helped coordinate a study on metabolic biomarkers and impaired methylation capacity in children with autism published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 2004. Laurette has presented at autism conferences since 2007. She has been on the research committee for SafeMinds for the past 2 years where she currently sits on the Board of Directors. Utilizing her strength in doing medical literature searches, she has assisted with generating the bibliographies of three recently published books on autism.

Just like the Stanford study, the new analysis also found that while conventional and organic vegetables oftentimes offer similar levels of many nutrients, organic foods have fewer pesticide residues. They also have on average 48 percent lower levels of cadmium, a toxic metal and a known carcinogen - a clear bonus, if you ask me.

Conference update on CEU Accreditation

CEU Accreditation - Continuing education is offered throughout the entire 2014 conference for all professionals. Check with your state or national associations to ensure CEUs are accepted by your organization. Attendees may register to receive a Certificate of Attendance (COA) or CEU certificate with their association. For additional information, click here.

American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) - CEU certificate. This course is offered for up to 1.65 ASHA CEUs (Various level, Professional area). The Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association is approved by the Continuing Education Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to provide continuing activities in speech-language pathology and audiology. See course information for number of ASHA CEUs, instructional level and content area. ASHA CE Provider approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products or clinical procedures.

National Association of Social Workers (NASW) - "This program is Approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Approval #886673846-2887) for 15.5.
